The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for over 68000 pairs of children’s pajamas sold via Chinese fast fashion retail market place Temu. The pajamas reportedly violate federal flammability standards and pose a burn risk to children.
Under federal safety rules, all children’s sleepwear garments sold in sizes larger than nine months must be flame resistant or tight-fitting. This is to protect children from burn injuries if they come in contact with ignition sources, such as a match or space heater.
The pajamas in question were sold via Temu exclusively and came came in sizes for 1-year-olds to 8-year-olds. They were sold between October 2022 and May 2024 for approximately $23 and were made by three different manufacturers – Fashion Online, Juvenno Kids and Lovely Angel.
No injuries or incidents were reported for the recalled products. However, if you have been affected, you can follow the below guidance.
