When the SS 2013 collections were shown in September, it wasn’t Jil Sander’s return to her namesake label or even Hedi Slimane’s debut at Saint Laurent that gained the most column inches. Instead, in true fashion world style, it was the slap across the face that Jalouse editor Jennifer Eymere gave Zac Posen’s PR executive Lynn Tesoro that grabbed the world’s attention. Now Tesero has filed suit against Eyemere for unspecified damages, alleging battery, libel, assault, and slander.
The incident occurred when fire marshals stormed Zac Posen’s show, demanding that 60 seats should be removed. This resulted in a logistical nightmare with many left without seats for the show. When Tesero failed to find seats for Eyemere and her party of four which included her mother, she was rewarded with a slap in the face.
Eyemere did not deny the slap, telling the press, “It was a small slap. It was not strong…She humiliated my mom, and I humiliated her in front of her crew…I just said at the end, “Now you know you don’t f*ck with French people.’”
Eyemere may regret taking credit for the slap quite so publicly! Fashion Law at its nastiest!
